SUMMARY:6th Annual Dash to the Desert
DESCRIPTION:Join us for another scenic drive out to the desert as we head to beautiful Borrego Springs for lunch at La Casa Del Zorro Desert Resort & Spa! \nOur journey begins at E39Source headquarters (301 Enterprise St.\, Escondido\, CA 92029)\, owned and operated by FOC members Ryan and Gary Schultz. \nThe event will start with a gathering at 8:30 AM\, where light refreshments will be served. During this time\, we’ll provide a brief orientation covering the day’s driving route and logistics. We will depart promptly at 9:00 AM for the approximately two-hour drive through some of Southern California’s most scenic desert roads. \nAbout an hour into the drive\, we’ll make a short rest stop before continuing on to Borrego Springs. Our group is expected to arrive at La Casa Del Zorro between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM\, where secure parking will be provided for our cars. \nEvent Details \n\nRegistration fee: $25 per person\nLunch cost: Approximately $30 per person\, plus an automatic 18% gratuity\nPayment: Separate checks will be provided at the restaurant\n\nThis year’s lunch menu will feature four selections (see menu below). Beverages\, including alcoholic drinks\, will be available for purchase at the resort. \nLunch will be served on the resort’s beautiful outdoor patio\, offering a desert atmosphere and a relaxed setting to enjoy great food and company. To learn more about the venue\, visit the resort’s website.  \nAfter lunch\, guests are welcome to relax and enjoy the resort for as long as they wish before making the drive home at their own pace. \nWe hope you’ll join us for this fun and exhilarating drive\, culminating in a memorable afternoon at one of the desert’s most iconic resorts—complete with great food and plenty of time to socialize. \n

SUMMARY:America 250 Aboard Yacht America
DESCRIPTION:Come sail the San Diego Bay with us aboard Yacht America as we celebrate our nation’s semiquincentennial (250th anniversary)! You are invited to wear red\, white\, and blue in honor our country’s special birthday. Guests from our Military Services will be joining us as well this year. Current or former military personnel are invited to wear their uniforms (or part of them).   \nYacht America was originally constructed for the 1851 World’s Fair. This racing yacht revolutionized naval architecture with its low-profile sleek design. It captured the hearts of millions as it won the famed Silver Cup\, which was later renamed America’s Cup after this historic vessel. This one and only replica was built in 1995. At 139 feet long\, it is the largest Coast Guard inspected charter sailing vessel on the American west coast. \nTickets are $110 per person. Ticket price includes savory appetizers and an open bar of high end beverages. Cut off date for sign-ups is July 23rd. No refunds thereafter. Attendance is capped at 50 people. This event is exclusive for FOC members or a member and one guest. Adults 21+ only. The specific departure location will be provided after sign-up.
